Everything You Need to Know Before Ordering
Choosing your cake should be simple, enjoyable, and completely stress-free.
Here’s everything you need to know about ordering your bespoke wedding or celebration cake with Debbie’s Bakehut.

Ordering & Lead Times
Each cake is made to order and handcrafted from scratch.

Wedding cakes: Please book 3–6 months in advance to secure your date.

Celebration cakes: Ideally 2–4 weeks’ notice is required.

Last-minute orders may be possible depending on availability — feel free to enquire!​

Portion Sizes
All tiered cakes are made with 4 layers of sponge and 3 layers of filling.

Standard serving size: 1” x 1” slices for weddings, or 1.5” x 2” slices for celebrations.

Each design can be adapted to suit your guest count — from intimate gatherings to grand receptions.

Pricing

Wedding cakes: from £650 for a standard 2-tier ridged ganache design.

Sugar flower set (6 roses, eucalyptus, gypsophila): £200
-
Celebration cakes: priced individually depending on size and decoration.

Cupcake bouquets: £75 (12 cupcakes).
Every cake is priced according to design detail, size, and the time required for intricate sugar work.

Choose from our popular flavours, all paired with smooth Belgian chocolate ganache:
Vanilla Bean • Lemon Zest • Salted Caramel • Chocolate Fudge • Red Velvet

Payments & Deposits
To confirm your booking, a non-refundable £100 deposit is required for wedding cakes (or £30 for celebration cakes).
The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before your event date.

Delivery & Setup
Wedding cakes are delivered and set up at your venue on the morning of your wedding.
Local delivery charges apply and will be confirmed at booking.
Collection is available for smaller cakes and cupcake bouquets by prior arrangement.

Allergies & Food Safety
Debbie’s Bakehut is registered with Croydon Council and holds a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating.
All cakes are made in a kitchen that handles gluten, eggs, and dairy.
Allergy and ingredient information will always be provided upon request.
